Semtron, Inc. is a family owned business based out of Flint, Michigan. Founded by Paul Semerad in 1980, the company now operates out of their headquarters in Michigan as well as a separate stamping facility in Germantown, Wisconsin. Semtron specializes in custom connectivity hardware for a wide variety of industries, including Broadcast, IT, ProAV industry, and more.

Loaded Plates

A wide variety of loaded plates are available. Semtron stocks loaded plates that are ready to ship same day. These plates include VGA female, HDMI, DVI, USB feed-thru style plates, 3 pin female XLR plates, as well as combination plates including VGA / 3.5mm female combinations, VGA / Composite combinations, and VGA, S-Video, Composite RCA combinations.

Custom plates are available as well. Semtron can manufacture both wall plate and flat plate styles in sizes ranging from 1 gang to 10 gang (wall plates) with no size limit on flat plates. Stainless steel, plastic, aluminum, brass, bronze, and Lexan materials are all available. Painted steel (any color), powder coating, and a variety of colored plastics are available for added customization. Silk screening, laser engraving, and custom labeling are also available.

Grommet Plates

Semtron stocks a wide variety of off the shelf grommet plates available for same day shipping. Popular configurations include 1 gang standard and 1 gang split plates with I.D. (inner diameter) of either ¾” or 1.5”. “Covered” grommet hole versions are available as well – these products range from ¼” I.D. to 1.75” I.D. and are available in both 1 gang and 2 gang split or standard plates.

Flush Mount Plates

Standard flush mount plates can be manufactured to fit a wide variety of jacks, including keystone, AMP, Hubbell, Commscope, and more. These flush mount plates are available in a variety of materials including materials listed under “Loaded Plates” and can be manufactured up to 10 gang in size. Designation strips for easy labeling can be added as well.

Other Products

In addition to loaded and unloaded wall plates, grommet plates, and flush mount plates, Semtron has the ability to manufacture a wide variety of metal products to compliment their standard product lines. These include cable management bars ranging in size from 1” to 18” deep, locking covers that can fit almost any housing to keep connectivity products safe and secure, junction panels for large scale connectivity solutions, and decora straps that are fully customizable to fit a customers’ exact needs.
